Edward
Arndt and Eldon Zahn were representatives from Sunset Forest Road. This
road is in desperate need of repairs and upgrades. The cabin owners in
this area are seeking assistance with this difficult task. The township
was asked if they could be of any assistance, (not monetary), Chairman
Jack McMahon spoke with the Township Lawyers and it appears that we cant
help them out. The road is not a township or county road, it is a private
road.
The Supervisors signed the 2003 Fire Protection Service Agreement. This
is an agreement between the Kabetogama Township and the Kabetogama Fire
Department. The 2004 agreement has been written up and is ready to be
signed in January of 2004. These documents were prepared by a lawyer.
During one of the informational sessions held by the Waste Water Committee
a prize was one by residents Clayton and Leila Stevens. Their prize was
a free septic tank pumping by Crandalls Septic Pumping.
New Business:
Lee Herseth asked if the Melhiems road could be graded. Supervisor
Richard McGregor will make a call about this and also ask if the county
could be more careful when grading the State Point road. The gravel is
being pushed into the ditches.
Richard McGregor reported that the hazardous waste pickup went very well.
The November Township meeting will be held on November 5th since there
is voting on the 4th. The meetings will now be held at the Kabetogama
Fire Hall. The meeting change was approved on a motion by Richard McGregor,
seconded by Edward Town. Motion carried.
