Old Business:

Fire Chief Larry Warrington was on hand to give a brief explanation as to how monies will be appropriated from the Ash River and surrounding unorganized townships for their fire and EMS protection.  Total dollar amount is $25,200.00 annually.

A complaint was made to a township supervisor that the canister site at Kabetogama was not available to haul debris to after the storm we had a few weeks ago.  The township does not have the authority to open he canister site.  This site is under St. Louis County and the Kabetogama Lake Association only.

Bike Trail – there will be no motorized vehicles allowed on these trails.

Cell phone service update - nothing new to report.  Jim Jensen from Crane Lake is proceeding with negotiations and they are progressing well.

Roads - Roads are in good shape.  There is still a substantial amount of debris collected along the roads from the storms we have had.  The township would like to hire someone to clean this up.  Supervisor Robert Nevalainen will contact the township association as to the proper procedures.

Table this to the August meeting.

New Business:

Training – there is a summer short course for township officers to be held on July 28th in Grand Rapids that at least two supervisors should attend.  Clerk Mary Manninen will sign up the proper officers.

Bridget Chard stated that there are enough signatures to form the subordinate sewer district.  More information will be gathered and brought to the board at a later date.
