received.
Old Business:
Canister Site The Kabetogama Fire department burnt the lawn
debris behind the canister site. The remaining debris will need to be
pushed up into piles and burnt again in the future. The road that leads
to this area is in need of grading and gravel. The township road supervisor
will look into this matter.
Kabetogama Community Hall There was a lengthy discussion
regarding the Kabetogama Community building and land. The community club
would like to have a new community hall. A committee has been formed to
look into this matter, (the Community Club Town Hall Project) The chair
of this committee is Sande Moyer. Anyone with ideas and or comments should
contact a community club board member. Information regarding this matter
will be included in the next community club news letter.
Walleye/Corner Beautification Project Marlene Tomczak reported
that bids for this work will be let out this week. The work is to begin
the week of June 7th and to be completed around the week of July 31st.
New Business:
Township Insurance Policy The matter will be tabled to the
July meeting.
Township Accounting Program Clerk Mary Manninen reported
that in the near future all townships will be required to file their end
of the year accounting reports electronically. What this means is that
we must use the accounting program that we purchased from the State. Right
now the program will no longer run on the township computer. There may
be a memory issue here. The accounting program has been installed on the
Clerks personal computer and is running properly. The clerk will
look into further solutions for this situation.
Petition Alan Burchell of the Kabetogama area brought in
information regarding the Gold Portage region. He would like the township

Town moved to Petition the DNR and various other agencies to remove the
