Old Business - The board agreed that the large dump area behind the canister site must be burned. Supervisor Edward Town will monitor this area and when the area is thawed enough he will speak with someone to push the piles back to make room for this spring’s dumping. When the time is right the Kabetogama Fire Department will obtain the correct permits and burn the area.

Clean up around the Kabetogama Township area has been set for the first Saturday in May. This is sponsored by the Kabetogama Community Club.

Supervisor Richard McGregor reported that he spoke with Bryan and Harvey Loke regarding the sale of some of their property that adjoins the Community Club property. They seem to be willing to sell. Richard will call and speak with them again.

Chairman Jack McMahon reported that the Township sign will be here in a couple of weeks. He will install the sign.

The engineering firm that is now working with the Waste Water Committee is creating a booklet that may be ready for the end of the summer.

Marlene Tomczak reminded the board that she will be asking for the $1,000.00 that was approved to be used toward the improvements at the Walleye. This money will help pay for the help of the St. Louis County Engineers on this project.

New Business - Establishing an Administrative Policy for Town Board Meetings has been tabled to the next meeting. Clerk Mary Manninen handed out copies of a resolution to establish this policy. The Supervisors will read this resolution and make some type of decision at the next meeting.

Liquor License - A motion was made by Supervisor Edward Town stating that the businesses that need to have their liquor license signed by the Township Clerk must present the license before the board and have it signed at a meeting. If the business is in good standing with the county and with their lodging tax the license will be signed with no problem. The license will be questioned if either of the previous situations are present. Clerk Mary Manninen will send out notices stating this ruling. Motion seconded by Supervisor Richard McGregor. Motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,
Mary Manninen, Clerk
Kabetogama Township
