There is a short course in Eveleth for Township Officers. Clerk Mary Manninen and Supervisor Richard McGregor plan on attending this training on Friday April 4th. Supervisor Edward Town and Deputy Treasurer Lance Litwiller may possibly attend also.

Thor Herseth and Jay Tomczak gave their report regarding the road signs around the area. Thor gave a written report to Clerk Mary Manninen so it could be sent out to Mike Forseman and Russ Dahl so the signs can be repaired, replaced or added new.

Russ Kingery is working with the county to add and replace the 911 signs in our area. New signs must be ordered that are two sided. We will receive monetary help from the county.

Comprehensive Land Use and Waste Water Treatment approval forms to begin process have been approved on two motions made by Supervisor Edward Town, seconded by Supervisor Richard McGregor. Motions carried. More detailed information can be found from the minutes of these two committees meetings which will be posted on the Kabetogama Township Web-Site, or contact Supervisor Jack McMahon or Ron Moyer.

There was some confusion during this years elections. Supervisor Edward Town was re-elected for a 1yr term but should have been elected for a 3 year term. Treasurer Jean Reichow was elected for a 1 yr term and should have been elected for a two year term. Chairman Jack McMahon called the Township Lawyer regarding this matter. He was told that this could be corrected during next years election.
