REGULAR MEETING

January 4, 2005

Vice Chairman Edward Town opened the board meeting at 7:10 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance. Board members present were E. Town, R. McGregor, M. Manninen, J. Riechow along with 5 guests. Supervisor J. McMahon is out of town on personal matters.

The Agenda for this meeting was approved on a motion by Vice Chairman E. Town. Seconded by Supervisor R. McGregor, motion carried.

The board read and approved the December board meeting minutes. Supervisor R. McGregor made the motion, Vice Chair E. Town seconded, motion carried.

The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by the board and approved. Vice Chairman E. Town made the motion, Supervisor R. McGregor seconded, motion carried.

Old Business:

Copy Machine – There will be no purchase of a new copy machine.

New Business:

Fire Chief Larry Warrington brought in a document that a committee from the Kabetogama Fire Department has developed for the county regarding guidelines for new development. This document is pursuant to county regulation #3.02 of the St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance.

These guidelines will furnish developer and the county with Fire Department requests for accessibility, water and safety. These guidelines are set for commercial developments with multiple structures and high density. They are designed to be a line of communication between the developer, county and the Kabetogama Fire Department for the safety and protection of the community.

This document will be given to the county and copies may be obtained from the Kabetogama Fire Department.

Vice Chairman E. Town moved to pay mileage to the Kabetogama Fire Chief and a Kabetogama Township Supervisor who attends the county planning and zoning hearings. Supervisor R. McGregor seconded. Motion carried.

Vice Chairman E. Town moved to renew the Kabetogama Township CD ($25,000) when it matures in January. Supervisor R. McGregor seconded. Motion carried.

The Kabetogama Township Board of Audit will meet on February 1^st prior to the regular board meeting.

The following claims were approved on a motion by Supervisor R. McGregor. Seconded by Vice Chairman E. Town., motion carried.
