Old Business:
ARDC Contract – Andy Hubley faxed a new contract with all the corrected dates. He also sent three copies of the contract that needed to be signed and sent back to the ARDC. Clerk Mary Manninen will send the signed copies back to the ARDC for their signatures and then we will receive a copy back for our files.
The Planning Commission gave a brief synopsis of their meeting and what they have planned for the near future.
911 Sign Project – The Board had a very lengthy discussion regarding this project. Many concerns, ideas and grievances were heard. Posts have already been delivered to the area but the signs themselves have not been ordered. There is a grant that may help to defer costs on this project. The grant appears to be very detailed and may prove to be a cumbersome task. Larry Warrington hopes to get information from another township that has taken on a project close to this one and will report back to the Township Board at our next meeting. There was no action taken on this subject at this meeting, it will be tabled to our February meeting where more information will be presented.
Kabetogama Community Club – The township lawyer is out of town on vacation and will contact Sande when he gets back. He will be writing a resolution for the transfer of the property. Most of the community club members were in favor of the transfer. The community club board members will be meeting to vote on this at their next meeting.
Officer Pay for Missed Work – Supervisor Robert Nevalainen brought in the document that can be used as a resolution to set a pay rate for the missed work. Clerk Mary Manninen will fill out this document with the correct data and it will be presented at the next board meeting for discussion. Table to next meeting.
New Business:
The Township Supervisors would like to have the Park Superintendent be a guest speaker at our next township meeting. Clerk Mary Manninen will take care of this.
Claims for approval – There was a motion to approve these claims by Supervisor Richard McGregor, Seconded by Chairman Edward Town. Motion carried
The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Supervisor Richard McGregor, seconded by Chairman Edward Town, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted, Mary Manninen, Clerk, Kabetogama Township
