Summary
1. Welcome and Introductions
o Paul Kiner called the meeting to order. Members present Paul Kiner, Alan Burchell, Bob Nevalainen, Betsey Warrington, and Phil Hart.
o The minutes of the September meeting where not read as there were not enough members present to call a meeting. The September meeting was attended only by Betsy Warrington, Paul Kiner and Bob Nevalainen. In attendance at the October 2nd meeting were Andy Hubley and Ben VanTassel from the ARDC. The meeting was turned over to Andy and discussions were held pertaining to the wants and needs of the community and how to fit them into the comprehensive plan. The Community Hall Committee is to meet with the Planning Committee at the October 30 meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 9:05 by Phil Hart and seconded by Alan Burchell.
2. Committee Business
o There was no committee business to conduct.
3. Recommendation Development
o Andy Hubley continued to lead the group in recommendation development beginning with the economics chapter. Timber industry preservation was discussed. Ideas for signing and advertisement were discussed. Land-use was the next topic discussed and there were questions on existing zones in the area and commercial versus residential property. Community life was briefly talked about. There is an interest for the new Kabetogama Community Hall to be included in the plan.
4. Meeting Scheduling
o Next Meeting tentatively scheduled for October 30, 7pm at the Kabetogama Fire Hall.
o Kabetogama Community Club is invited to discuss the new Community Hall.
